Attention African-American high school and middle school students! Join the Colorado Black Round Table (CBRT) for the Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Leadership Intensive and Summit on Monday, Jan. 15 at Manual High School.

What:
The CBRT Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Leadership Intensive and Summit for high school and middle school boys and girls is a one-day educational and informational experience that looks at what it means to be young, gifted and black. We can strengthen our communities and schools by investing in our youth on a day we are recognizing one of this nation’s most visible and historic Black American leaders.

Discussion Topics Will Include:
Black History • Leadership & Civic Responsibility • Career Options • Future Trends • Financial Literacy • Talking About Our Community & Our Ancestors • What Would Dr. King Say To Our Youth Today? • What to Do If Stopped by the Police • Sports & Rappin’ Ain’t All We Do Or Can Do • Why Do Black Girls Rock? • Black Youth Issues Panel

Attending Youth Can Earn: 5 hours of community service and a CBRT Leadership Certificate
