DPSManagement (DPSM) supports supervisors, managers, directors, executive directors, and assistant principals to hone their leadership skills, to influence and engage those they lead, facilitate change and develop a performance-based, team culture. Leaders will participate in core courses, including an Introduction to DPSManagement and Values Based Leadership, Implementing Continuous Improvement, Leading Equity in the DPS Mosaic and Building a High Performing Team. During these core courses, leaders will have an opportunity to interact with many of our Senior Leadership Team members. This program takes a novel approach through Students First Shadowing! The Culture, Equity & Leadership Team would like to congratulate the DPS leaders who will graduate from our Fall 2017 DPS Management program!
Leaders accepted into DPSM will take a performance-based assessment and create a development plan. Based upon your results from a performance simulation, leaders will also have an opportunity to choose from a variety of competency development courses, such as Leading Change, Communicating with Impact, Leading from WithIN: Emotional Intelligence, and Managing Projects. By the end of this program leaders will:
- Reflect on how you will live the DPS mission and values and learn how to align your strategic plans to them
- Develop core skills that will increase your ability to create a high performing team and drive impact throughout the organization
- Create trusting and meaningful relationships with DPS colleagues and students
- Celebrate your personal growth and the growth of other leaders
